Clinical Research Specialist

 

Location: Hybrid - greater Boston area

 

As the Clinical Research Specialist at icotec, you will play a pivotal role in driving our clinical research activities, ensuring alignment with our corporate clinical research strategy and contributing to the advancement of groundbreaking technologies in the MedTech industry. You will be the key point of contact for scientific inquiries from both internal teams and external stakeholders in the United States.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate closely with the VP Clinical Research (based in Switzerland) to implement icotec's clinical research strategy in the United States.
  • Identify and engage key opinion leaders across current and emerging applications, gaining insights into industry needs.
  • Liaise with scientific personnel at study centers to establish research agreements, ensure seamless trial execution, and facilitate data analysis and interpretation.
  • Stay updated on scientific publications related to icotec/BlackArmor® and pertinent topics for marketing, regulatory compliance, and portfolio strategy.
  • Serve as the primary contact for scientific inquiries from US employees, sales partners, and customers.
  • Support Sales and Marketing in defining unique selling propositions (USPs), generating marketing materials, and delivering training.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Master's degree (MSc) in medical technology, biology, radiology, musculoskeletal sciences, medicine, or a related field.
  • First-hand professional experience in a relevant industry or clinical research setting.
  • Ability to collaborate directly with physicians and experts in the spine tumor or therapy field on scientific questions, clinical routine, and administrative study setup.
  • Open-minded, self-motivated, analytical, and communicative personality.
  • Inspired to contribute to establishing evidence that helps patients.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
