Product Manager

 

Location: Hybrid - greater Boston area

 

As a Product Manager at icotec, you will play a pivotal role in steering our product portfolio's strategic direction and supporting sales and marketing efforts. Your key responsibilities involve acting as a bridge between market needs and internal icotec divisions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide portfolio and product expertise to support the sales and marketing organization in scientific, clinical, and educational applications of the icotec implant and instrument portfolio.
  • Offer technical support to the sales team, including icotec employees and independent sales agents, on product usage, surgical procedures, and patient care, including radiation therapy.
  • Collaborate closely with internal divisions at icotec on product and therapy development initiatives.
  • Guide the sales team in the acquisition process, customer maintenance, and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) involvement, acting as a clinical expert to address technical questions from surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct presentations in front of various audiences and represent icotec as a product expert and technical specialist at congresses and fairs.
  • Develop and execute training programs for icotec employees, sales agents, distributors, and hospital staff.
  • Provide live support during surgeries as a specialist in product usage and assist surgeons or staff in instrument handling.
  • Evaluate feedback and complaints with internal departments.
     

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, medical education, or related roles within the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of spine anatomy, surgery, spine diseases, and Radiation Oncology. 
  • Surgical and operating room experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities, coupled with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for driving positive outcomes.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed to support regional and national educational initiatives, customer engagements, and industry events.
