As Clinical Liaison Manager at icotec, you will drive key U.S. clinical research projects aligned with our corporate strategy. Focused on scientific collaboration and evidence generation, you’ll support studies in spinal tumor treatments and lead new initiatives in emerging indications. As a central contact for scientific matters, you’ll work with internal teams and external experts to help turn innovation into clinical impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the VP Clinical Research to implement icotec’s clinical research strategy in the U.S.
- Identify, engage, and manage key opinion leaders (KOLs), especially in the field of spinal infections, in addition to tumor and future spine surgery indications, to explore clinical study needs and generate relevant research questions.
- Coordinate with scientific staff at study centers to define research agreements, ensure smooth study execution, and support data collection, analysis, interpretation, and scientific reporting (mainly IITs).
- Independently oversee clinical case series in key strategic areas to improve understanding of clinical workflows and inform future research.
- Stay informed about scientific publications related to icotec/BlackArmor® and relevant topics impacting marketing, regulatory, and portfolio strategies.
- Serve as the primary scientific contact for U.S. employees, sales partners, and customers.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to define unique selling propositions (USPs), develop marketing materials, deliver training, and drive educational content rooted in clinical research.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement and execution of the clinical research strategy within broader strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree (MSc) in medical technology, biology, radiology, musculoskeletal sciences, medicine, or a related field.
- First-hand professional experience in clinical research or a relevant industry setting.
- Ability to work directly with physicians and experts in spinal infections, tumors, or related therapies on scientific, clinical, and administrative matters.
- Open-minded, self-motivated, analytical, and communicative personality.
- Strong communicator and collaborator. Comfortable in internal educational settings and external expert discussions.
- Motivated to help establish clinical evidence that improves patients’ lives.
This is a full-time, hybrid role (requiring regular office presence) for candidates located in the Greater Boston area.
